CHT OFFERS QUALIFIED EMPLOYERS WITH EMPLOYEE BENEFIT COVERAGE THAT PROVIDES HIGH VALUE, INCREASED CHOICE AND INCREASED FLEXIBILITY.
Contractors Health Trust (CHT) was established in 1968 for the sole purpose of providing a health benefit plan to cover eligible employees of participating employers. The Plan is available exclusively to employers who are members of the Colorado Contractors Association, the Associated General Contractors of Colorado and the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs.*
The Contractors Health Trust offers comprehensive benefit programs that include medical, dental, hearing, vision, life, and accidental death & dismemberment benefits.
The CHT benefit programs are specifically customized to meet the unique demands of the construction industry. Contractors Health Trust was created for contractors, designed by contractors and managed by contractors.
CHT continues to manage renewal rates at well below many reported healthcare cost increase trends over the past several years!
* To be eligible, employers must be in the residential or commercial construction industry and have at least two full-time employees covered under the plan. Coverage is subject to an underwriting process.
BENEFITS
Contractors Health Trust Partners and Cost Savings Features
Medical insurance is provided through Anthem’s PPO network and national BCBS provider network. This is a tremendous benefit to both the employer and employee. Anthem’s network includes 95% of Colorado providers and 100% of Colorado’s hospitals. As a result, chances are excellent that you may be able to maintain your existing provider relationship. This allows for greater In-Network usage of the insurance, generally your Out-Of-Pocket cost are lower when using In-Network providers. Employees also have access to the national BCBS Blue Card network (considered In-Network) while traveling outside Colorado. Anthem has numerous programs for employers and employees including: MyHealth Advantage, 24/7 Nurseline, Find a Doctor, and Anthem Care Compare.
Prescription drug insurance is offered through our partner, Express Scripts, (ESI), one of the largest prescription drug benefit managers in the country. Express Scripts has over 77% of Colorado’s pharmacies and a national network of over 10,000 participating pharmacies. ESI offers the convenience of home delivery as well.
