production of safe and attainable housing and enhances the environment for the housing and building
industry in El Paso County.

WHO WE ARE
The Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs is a member trade association made up of companies that include not only builders, developers, and remodelers, but also trade contractors, material suppliers, mortgage lenders, Realtors, title companies, interior designers, architects, landscapers and many more. Our members play a vital role in the construction industry in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. Together we contribute to the growth, prosperity, and quality of life this exceptional community has come to enjoy.
Our Association is chartered by the National Association of Home Builders and is one of more than 800 home builder associations in the United States. The state of Colorado has 10 local builder associations who are dedicated to helping members build their businesses through marketing, advocacy, and industry connections – all of which have formed the Colorado Association of Home Builders (CAHB) which acts as the central coordination organization for state-wide issues of importance and to lobby legislature on such issues. CAHB also carries out programs that are more effectively implemented at the state – rather than the local level.
OUR HISTORY
The Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs was formed in 1954 by a group of builders who saw a need to unite to address the many concerns and issues affecting the home building industry in our area. The HBA provides its members with services, programs and legislative representation and membership opportunities unparalleled by any other trade association.
We are a private non-profit 501(C) (6) corporation representing home builders, multi-family builders, remodelers, developers, subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and housing-related professionals operating within the Colorado Springs area. A major goal of the Association is to raise the public’s perception of the people who provide shelter. Housing is a necessity as well as a part of the American Dream and we are, through our members, the providers who meet the housing needs of our community.
