REMOVING BARRIERS TO BUSINESS

REGULATORY
AFFAIRS
The HBA is actively involved in city, state and national issues related to the regulatory process working hard on our members’ behalf to promote the housing industry in America. Our focus is on impacting housing issues that could remove regulatory barriers to building affordable housing, help protect property rights, provide tax relief for small businesses, and assure accessible and affordable financing.
THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF
NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION
In order to help consumers understand the real cost and impact of new home construction in El Paso County, the HBA of Colorado Springs has published a brochure using data-driven information from NAHB and Summit Economics. This publication is presented in a way that is informative yet easy to understand.
TECHNICAL COMMITTEES
The Colorado Springs HBA holds monthly technical committee meetings for the industry focus areas of Code Review, Land Use, and Utilities. These meetings are attended by HBA members and representatives from various government agencies and municipalities within the Pikes Peak Region. The purpose of the meetings is to discuss current issues that impact the building industry, create actionable steps to address these issues, report on successes, and cultivate working relationships for the betterment of the community.
