Networking
Through the HBA’s many events, Council and Committee system, you have the opportunity to network with your peers and stay abreast of the latest changes within the building industry. Relationships built at any of these networking events may prove beneficial for many years to come.
Educational Opportunities
By presenting valuable educational opportunities, our members can help themselves and their business improve, and gain knowledge about business and the construction industry. Educational programs include sales and marketing, lead paint certification, erosion control and job site safety practices.
Public Relations
The HBA works through the local media to promote the image of our members and of our industry while creating awareness of the positive impact of our members and the industry.
Special Events
High impact events such as the MAME Awards, Home and Garden Show, Parade of Homes, Breakfast with the Builders, the International Builders Show and the Rocky Mountain Builder Conference, allow our members to promote their products, themselves and the industry.
Publications
As a member of the HBA, you will receive a subscription to The HOMEFRONT, the HBA’s newsletter that keeps you up-to-date on important issues and events. In addition, you will receive Colorado Builder from the state association and NAHB publications. The HBA Membership Directory is designed as a daily working tool, listing names, addresses and phone numbers of Builder and Associate members, as well as useful resources such as a Buyer's Guide and Government Guide.
Promotion
Advertising and sponsorship opportunities are available to members to promote your products and services. Advertising is available in The HOMEFRONT, Membership Directory and in the Parade of Homes magazine. Increase your exposure and support for industry through sponsorship opportunities at membership meetings, special events, the annual golf tournament and awards programs.
Insurance Programs
As a member of the HBA, you are eligible for the General Liability insurance and Workers Compensation insurance.
Government Affairs
A number of committees and HBA staff monitor the Colorado Springs area for issues affecting the building industry. Our strong membership provides the Association with the force necessary to influence local, state and national officials. These active committees strive to stay current on important issues in order to keep our members informed.
Mailing Information
Set your company apart by using the HBA logo on all your business materials. Members can also obtain mailing labels of HBA members for a nominal fee or an electronic list at no charge.
